Your Challenge: To Make a Difference

One way to broaden the impact of the Real Soil, Real Food, A Real Difference program is to have teens teaching teens. That is the reason we challenge you to do an independent project that will engage and involve your friends, classmates, teammates or other peers.

During the intensive session, you’ll plan your independent project for later implementation. The research that you do about different food issues will give you ideas about what your project will be. You’ll learn how to set an achievable goal, describe the current situation, outline the problem, identify resources, break down the project into key steps, set a timeline, and develop project details. On the final day of each session, parents, family, and community leaders will watch your PowerPoint presentation about your independent project plans and discuss what you learned during the intensive session.
